Up and coming rapper Xanman (@XanServin on twitter) released the long awaited fifth installment of his Like Tony Mixtape Series on Friday January 11th. This release comes after multiple postponed release dates and tweets saying *blank* retweets and well drop like Tony 5″

Unfortunately this was due to problems with releasing the mixtape through apple music (note it is only available for downloading and streaming through Spinrilla) as well as Xanman currently serving time in jail after a recent arrest.

As far as the quality of the mixtape, like Tony 5 is a solid 8 song LP without a song that needs to be skipped. The tape showcases Xanmans’ unique ability to sing and rap on a diverse range of beats. From catchy upbeat songs such as “like tony 5 intro” to slower, more gritty songs like “bags in” discussing life trapping it out chasing a bag to go get the flashy designer he raps about in the intro.

All in all Like Tony 5 is a humble release from xan, and definitely solidifies his place among the top up and coming rappers in the DMV. Xanmans unique use of his vocals to differentiate himself from other artists is definitely something that will help carry him to success, as long as he can stay out of trouble with the law.
